Around the World with 200 Postcards

From May 18-July 22, 2013, an outside member of REACH Coalition traveled across Europe and Australasia with 200 Postcards from Death Row.

The postcards were designed by REACH in collaboration with members of WUI Collective, Jonathan Rattner and Jon Engelbrecht.

Watkins College of Art student, Bryant Smith took the project to a new level when he responded visually to the postcards with his own art project.

Bryant’s response inspired us to explore further possibilities for communication and collaboration across the prison walls.

For the next phase of the project, inside members of REACH  self-addressed 200 postcards to be distributed to people across the world and sent back to Tennessee’s death row with a message or drawing from afar.  Some of the cards and messages are posted below.

To request your own postcard from death row, or to submit your documentation of a card, please email reachcoalition.tn@gmail.com.
